Friends

The doors are open and all we see
Is a sun that is smiling down to you and me
We run to the beach and jump in the sand
Swim in the sea then holding hands

We build a castle of sand and stone
And invite everyone to stay so were never alone
Then look out the window and watch the sun set
Sharing a moment that we'll never forget

The moon kissed the waves as our night settled in
Watching the stars as we started to grin
"We did it!" said Cassidy, we made our dreams true
"Aye" said David as he looked at the view

They spent their lifes helping those through rhyme
And listened to those who needed their time
Cassidy and David's last words while awake
"No more poems as we are on our break"

"This is a poem for Cassidy more than myself. I know how you feel and one day it will happen."
