The Magic Bench

by kelleyana   May 13, 2009

He always loved springtime and the beauty it brought to their special park,
Awakening natures dormant memory, insuring all was not forgotten.
So many he has known, with each leaving some small piece behind in this life that now seems endless to him.
He yearns for it once again, knowing its gentle strength will cast out each cold, lonely day inside his soul and
once more, he can sit there, sit on that magical bench
he held her on long ago, so many years ago.

His mind takes him into the deepest and most enchanted territories of his being,
that all he see were her everywhere offering each other tender passion of love and care.
Emotions take over and his nostrils were filled with her vanilla odor, this brought a bouquet of special thoughts to the heart, a fragrance that distract his attention away from those long and lonely days,
which is now over as he gentle caress her long flowing dark hair, while she gazed in his eyes without distraction or temptation, as if she lived and breathe only love for him.

He could remember her whispered delicately the name she called him, honey bee
He realize that he's the sweet fluid that attracts her and through his heart, he gave her the nectar which makes her became that flowering plant that even
Closing her eyes she could distinguished him by his fragrance, taste and consistency.

Separation by body but bound from the heart,
Feeling the wetness of tears rolled down his cheek
In pair they always ventured, and alone he's left,
Hoping to be buried the same as they once lived.

Awww Kel... this collab is so touching. This compelling love story is really on par with 'The Notebook'. I like the idea of how the magical bench works like a time capsule bring him back to the glory days of the time he had with her.Great Job the both of you. Seriously i couldn't tell who wrote which verse and that's what makes this collab a great one.

Oh my, what a sad verse...

To be left behind is the most horrible thing..and to visit the places where you once used to go together can make a heart break from grief. You two have captured this feeling very well within your words.

A very moving write, well done:)

    *hugs*

This tells the story of a true love that is left without the other half. What a sad and lonely place to be.
    Good job!
    Take care

Nice to see you do a collab and on a love poem. The flow is somewhat choppy although the message does come through.
