New Hampshire

by She Is My Rain   May 18, 2009

The mountains never seemed as high.
The snow, never that white.
Her silhouette was perfection
compared to the glowing night sky.

For a moment,
there was no one else around.
For a moment,
That single moment was all that mattered.

She looked at me
and smiled then.
I could have sworn
the world would have crumbled.

Faltering snow upon her hair.
Rosy cheeks and crystal eyes.
All I wanted was to freeze time.
To make this a perfect memory.
