Sweet Surrender

by Crossiance   May 28, 2009

Off to the land of rest and dreams
Where nothing is as it seems
To find the life that sleep redeems;
Amidst the night, the moonlight beams.

Lost deep amongst unconscious thought,
Relishing the peave it's always brought,
Still seeking the silence, forever sought,
Yet, in distress, one is sometimes caught.

But please listen--- do not be mistaken,
Every night is another risk taken;
By your mind you may be forsaken,
And waits the time you will not awaken.

Once you surrender to midnight flight
You might be met with an empty fright.
So force yourself to brave the night,
And pray you see the morning light.
