Remember The Alamo

by PassionCourageTriumph   Jun 1, 2009

Slowly you gaze up
To face the day
You see nothing but scarlet sky

A vibrant rising of the sun
Over the tops of tents
In the fort that is called Alamo

Gazing at the river of blood
The blood that was shed from your brother
Chaos breaks loose

Men dying all around
Screaming in agonizing pain
Can not bare to look

The rusty metallic scent fills the air
Menacingly blowing at you
And furnishing your mind with fear

You had been cut off and starved
For many a day
But now the moment has arrived

You crouch down and shoot
That bullet takes a Mexican soldier
But victory shall not be ours

The time has come
To take a final stand
To die in the name, of Uncle Sam.

A gun shot sounds out
You feel the pain
Trust that you won't die in vain

So bear in mind
What happened that day
The tragic and bold

Remember, remember
The Alamo
