Rushing For Gold (Haiku)

by PassionCourageTriumph   Jun 1, 2009

Many a man came
Gold sweetly beckoning them
Only to deceive

Working the day dead
From the sunrise until set
In hopes of rich gifts

Quickly it spent
The gold that had occupied
Sullenly men left

All had gone silent
Not a single person 'round
Air breath'd no more sound

*School Assignment & it required that I said and put certain things in.
