Demons

by Meagan Adelle   Jun 1, 2009

My demons dance in the moonlight
They call me in
So inviting
So tempting

I'm giving in tonight
I want to feel
This burning pain lets me know I'm real
I lost this fight

Echoing laughter, the good old days
Followed by an hour long haze
The demons come back again
And again, I give in

Now empty and broken
Can't feel, no words spoken
Drowning again, more than ever
Can't remember hope and it's gone forever

Never again will I dream
No one can hear my heart scream
Never again will I take a breath
It's coming, tonight I'll face death

I just want an end to this fight
Dying roses mimic the peace tonight
So crimson, a lovely red
Just like those roses I'm almost dead

Bring the demons or give me a knife
Both can bring the end of my life
End a streak of 18 days
These are the things I think about in a haze
