Reoccurring

by Sexual hysterias   Jun 1, 2009

I'm imagining my future
Through a two-way mirror
One side reflects our love
But the other side is nearer

I feel that no matter;
the distance that I look
this love I recollect
Is just pages from a book

If I could rummage through our past
and find the feelings that you felt
It wouldn't feel so reoccurring
Much like a dream that I was dealt

Every night, I reach for you
With my arms open wide;
And the two of us together,
heart and soul, collide

Last night, I saw your face;
More beautiful than ever
You embraced me with a kiss
And sealed it with 'forever'

But, suddenly I turned
And the light began to gleam
I had to remind myself
'it's just a reoccurring dream'

    I like the image it plays in my head. Such a wonderful yet saddedning piece as what you wanted was just a 'reoccuring dream.' Really enjoyable read, 5/5. Em x
