Confront Distortion

by Danielle   Jun 4, 2009

Confront distortion,
Calming tide riped to disillusion.
Strange this world to see,
Slowly falling,
Sighing lightly.

I meant to fall on a cloud.
Dashed to cultured cement.
Churned into crazy existence,
Exercising rights,
That seem to not exist.

Only the strange die young,
Eating minds slowly.
Muting wisdom stands--
The truth may lie beyond the hills,
But somehow,
Insanity seems better.

This is a thought provoking piece. I like the word choice although I was wondering why you chose to say sighing lightly instead of softly.
