Dead End

Maybe its finally gone, the love we once shared
those times we said I loved you, the times we showed we cared
have seem to reach its end.. the road was long but rough
and sticking with our relationship was hard on both of us

We had our children and stuck by each other through thick and thin
but now the road has changed.. its finally come to an end
no more turns or bumpy rides to get us to our destination
now were left in a dead end with no familiar location.

The happiness that we shared on those special days
have seemed to fade away
its no use we tried for so long
our relationship is over and we're now where we belong

Maybe it wasn't meant to be, maybe it was just a lesson to be learned.
We tried and gave it all we had.. but we both were left burned
Its time to say goodbye to all the years we spent together
Its time to live the future and accept its not forever

No more use in crying, no use in wasting tears
too much have already been shed, all these wasted years
Love is just so painful yes I now know
I didn't think I'd be OK after you hurt me so

So now I sit at this dead end staring straight ahead
knowing Ill have more rough times waiting to be fed
and I turn around and take one last look at the road we rode together
and I whisper goodbye love, farewell to forever.
