Hopeless case

I want to tell you a secret,
get real close,
it's important and your my best friend,
I don't have any other who'll defend,

My blue eyes are mirrors and you guessed right,
underneath my makeup is all the bruises from that fight,
Nope I have nothing to hide,
I just really need someone right here by my side,

It's okay that you never knew,
it was a secret left unsaid, suddenly said out of the blue,
If it blew your mind I'm sorry,
You just needed to know,
because someday you'll tell my story when I'm ten feet below,

No I won't turn him in,
It's my only truth,
I'm still scared to death of hearing no more of the I love you s,
I'm sure he doesn't care and he's had years of practice,
but even if it's fake he loved me that last minute,

Not too many words to say,
not many at all,
I know it's true and a hopeless blue,
and when all is said and done, I'm still a little kid,
yep, just like you,

Just with some add ons that they call child abuse,
And I'm the hopeless case..

A few years ago I came clean about my dad abusing me( 7 years ago) I went to my best friend and told her everything. She told someone whom informed the authorities.. I went to relatives who could take care of me and the adopted her too ( she was a foster kid). But this poem is about when I told her. If anyone is ever being abused they should tell someone. Abuse never has any justification at all, so don't ever think otherwise. Family or lover, or even a best friend.. it's never justified tell some one..
