The hunger in my heart,
Never seems to cease.
The hatred in my soul,
Venom has released.
Ever since you left,
This, is what I've become,
Lonely, tired, and weak,
Worst of all, so numb.
My inspiration to fly
Without my out swept wings,
Lies broken on this floor.
Now I'm a puppet on the strings.
Forced to the left,
Forced to the right,
Plopped here and there.
I'm losing to this fight.
Until I finally pulled away
finding love and encouragement,
I tore away the resentful lines,
and am living with enjoyment.
Ever since you left,
I have become so new.
The importance of my life,
Inside of me has grew.
Blossomed in my veins
And sprouted out with smiles.
I AM here for a reason.
To make my life worthwhile.
So thank you, for showing me,
This bran new way to live.
I will forever miss you,
but now... I'm here in life to give.
