When body meets soul

by DreamingOutLoud   Jun 28, 2009

The mirror illusions the person it wants to reflect
It conceals the self with shadows to escape the verdict of neglect
Ashamed of its twin with only differences to be seen
An angel stripped off its devil skin only to encompass half a human being

The mirror speaks a foreign language
Its shine tries to fill the holes of a deaf machine
A crack appears realizing that the same mind can have two opinions at a time
A crack trying to eclipse the reason of hate between myself and I

Mutual consultation, different interpretations
The self resets the manual guide to allow for compromise
The mirror, unidentifiable match, questions the intentions behind the mask
Bimodal wonders are digging a planted seed that is already dry

The curtain opens; the self and the mirror meet face to face
Their thoughts diverge into one lane, unable to escape
The mirror reflects the self into reality
A reflection of how two people meet unseals all confidentiality

The self looked in the mirror and my soul spoke to me
I found myself looking though a perspective of memories
My tears shattered the mirror into every thought
I found a person the world almost forgot.
