Many Walls, Many Years, Many Tears

by REX   Jul 27, 2009

These walls,
That once stood proud,
Now draw attention from a younger crowd!
The reason the stand,
Is because of moss and trees,
Doors looked by long lost keys!

The dead still remain,
In the place they died,
No one knows that they still provide!
The plants in this place,
So lush and green,
Fertilized by the dead unseen!

So visit this place,
The fort of the hill,
And remember those trained to kill!
Now i sit,
Miles away from that secluded place,
But memory serves with a smile on my face.

FOR THOSE WHO SO WILLINGLY LAID THEIR LIVES DOWN FOR OUR COUNTRY THROUGH ALL OF TIME!!!
