Getting Over You Now

by KemistryKia   Aug 5, 2009

The melodic signature
that I'm so used to you singing sweetly
starts to skip certain keys
when he walks near me

the mask you
smeared across my face
seems to peel
when he touches me

the choke hold
you grasped onto me
tears tenderly while
he holds me

your kisses
that held house on my lips
becomes demolished
when he looks upon me

you were my only
you were the first
he explains when i yell
I'm about to burst

I'm not bashful
about my new lover
he came in when you left me
for another woman

but i bet my relationship now
is much powerful than ours
because i start to forget your face
which used to be a chore

This is nice. I like how in each stanza the past slowly fades away with the touch from your present
