Silence unspoken

by SMILEoften   Aug 10, 2009

This is a song I wrote. The flow may seem a bit choppy because it's not being portrayed as it was originally written. If I ever get it up on YouTube perhaps I will share the link in this poem so readers can listen and experience the true flow of this piece.

everyone roams the earth
trying to discover who they are
but you've searched a bit too much
you've gone a bit too far

and now I'm saying, i don't know
if i should ever talk to you again
behind my eyes, does it show
I'd give anything to be your friend

i just need you to see yourself
from my point of view
see the lies, feel these tears
catch a perfect glimpse of you
and what you really look like
when you're flying high
in your false reality

these masks up on your walls
they eye me with hate;
i wanna break
into your heart
but there's a strong metal gate
and it hides your eyes from me
gives me other things to see
when all i want is who you really are
but i cant tell you so i sit under the stars
i don't care what you really resemble,
just the thought of you makes me tremble
i wanna let go but i don't know
your face anymore

strumming some sad chords, thinking about you
wondering what i will ever do
life's hallway seems long and deserted
the situation has been assessed and long since converted.
holes on the moon resemble your emptiness
that was once filled with life
your words flood out and they cut me
like a shiny surgical knife.
and the blade goes straight into my heart
without any warning at all
and like the sad little person i came to be
back to you i will crawl, on my knees

you cant be happy with me
