Don't let Light Pass You By

by J King   Aug 26, 2009

No matter where I look, someone is crying from losing to much
No matter where I walk, Something is deeply wrong with the way we think
The world sits in despair and hides from happiness hoping it will find us
We're wishing that all of our problems vanish into thin air like dust

When's the next disaster, what will be the next disease
Who is after us, Who are we looking for
Will it ever thin out, Will we ever make it through
I'm so confused I fell and hurt my knees

People look for the smallest difficulties, without looking at the bigger picture
Waiting for the slightest hint of failure, not knowing they're the cause of it
Picking the wrong things to look for, when the right ones pass them by
Please step back to see the whole thing, don't focus on what was lost in it

Think today is gone and tomorrow is here, wait for yesterday to disappear
Hold hope tightly when everyone else has given it up, it should be enough
Drink up laughter in your cup of despair, and give more than you can share
A wise man once said, "Let there be light, and there was light." Don't let it out of your sight
