Lost and hidden in a shadow (drowned in tear's)

by cory   Aug 26, 2009

As crooked fate conspired
I can see you start to drown
I want to suck them up
I swear I'll force them down
Down deep
Where darkness dies and light is born
A place your heart could not be torn

I want to pick you up and take you
Take you far away
Away from all this pain
You were thrown into a shadow
To both of our disdain

I'd die a thousand death's
To spare you an ounce of pain
Or a chance to return
Where the old you still remains

I like the start of this poem, it had lots of potential.
    I liked the 'ending' ....
    "I'd die a thousand death's
To spare you an ounce of pain
    Or a chance to return
Where the old you still remains" shows alot of emotion and how you truly feel, 5/5. Em x

For the first part its really great, but does need a few more verses, I thought it was beautifully written, expressive of desire, love and pain, and tells the beginning part of an interesting story and relationship.
