Righteousness

by BornAgainWriter   Sep 14, 2009

I tried to be the person,
You wanted me to be,
But I've let you down,
And others around me.

I've lied to you over;
Continuously- surely,
I've repented my lies,
And forgave myself.

I think about you baby,
I'm here without you,
You're still in my dreams,
Tonight- It's only me.

I've cheated, committed-
Adultry, condemned,
I know that I am unless;
I speak with my mouth.

Confess all of the laws,
Of broken of yours, his,
Mine to follow, learn-
And preach to the world.

I think about you baby,
I'm here without you,
You're still in my dreams,
Tonight- It's only me.

I've spent most of my-
Time, using only my-
Wishbone, instead of my-
Heart- that is truly great.

I should be praying,
For you, to lead me-
Down another, different,
Path to righteousness.
