A Looking Glass

by blackheartslove   Oct 14, 2009

I'm caught inside a looking glass
My reflection staring back
I dont know who she is
But she's smiling at the world
But tear down the mirrors
And what do you see?
A tear-stained face
A broken glass
A half-drained bottle
A lit cigarette
Nothings ever what it seems
In her reflection
She smiles and waves
Her make-up never runs
But trapped inside the glass
Is a lost soul
She shouts for help
But one look in the mirrors
And what do you see?
Crimson stains
Blackened tears
Her stone cold eyes
Linger on the gun
Wishing for someone to take her hand
But nothings ever what it seems
Because in her reflection
She stands tall
Her smile brightens up a room
And covers up her pain
