A Happier Place

Rising up into the sky,
The sun kissed her,
One last time,

They told me,
Her last breath,
Was beautiful,

Elegantly and quietly,
She slipped away from us,
So ever effortlessly,

Quietly she rose,
Up into the heavens,
Away from the world,

As she floats away,
I can't help but be bitter,
Yet I'm at peace as well,

For heaven is a happier place,
It's light and joyous,
I wish she brought me with her,
