Her Car

by Wake Me Up   Nov 27, 2009

Bustling around the kitchen,
Making food for her family,
She was beautiful and radiant,
This is her routine daily,

She is bubbly and quirky,
Never missing a beat,
If she were miserable,
She's an actress thinking on her feet,

If you look in her car,
Despair seems to submerge it,
Cigarette boxes and pain pills,
Lay universally, no where for me to sit,

As I look around,
I become remorseful,
I never asked if she needed help,
Just made her listen to my bull,

I wish I could have seen it,
Her pain behind her smile,
Her cries behind her laugh,
Perhaps she's been like this awhile,

Bustling around the kitchen,
Making food for her family,
She was beautiful and radiant,
This is her routine daily,
