Remember Me [old]

by Kuro   Oct 23, 2009

You're in my mind
You're in my heart
Forgetting image
Begins to fade apart

We were once close friends
We knew each other well
But you have found someone else
Who isn't afraid to tell

Do you remember me
Are you too blind to see
That my love will never be
With you the same way with me

Did you ever care
Or was I
Just standing there
As time seemed to pass us by

~~~A really old poem from high school~~~
    It sucks when you aren't sure whether or not a friend has the same feelings you do towards them. I liked the shortness of the poem. It didn't seem to drag on and bore the reader; rather it was to the point.
    "We were once close friends
    We knew each other well
    But you have found someone else
    Who isn't afraid to tell"
    This stanza stuck out to me for whatever reason. I liked what it was saying and really depicted situations I've felt I have been in before.
    All in all this poem was well written. My only suggestion (please take it as only so) is maybe changing the syllable counts of the lines to match so that the flow and rhythm fit together a little better. 5/5
