The Touch (Loop Poetry)

by Sylvia   Nov 1, 2009

Hands so strong, yet so soft, a delicate touch
touch me, arouse the desire hidden deep within,
within my lonely soul, waiting for you to light the fire,
fire that smolders just beneath the surface of my skin.

Caresses sear feeling where there was none,
none until today when you reached out to fulfill,
fulfill the need to love you with abandonment once again,
again your hands created reality, a dream come true.

Loop Poetry is a poetry form created by Hellon. There are no restrictions on the number of stanzas nor on the syllable count for each line. In each stanza, the last word of the first line becomes the first word of line two, last word of line 2 becomes the first word of line 3, last
word of line 3 becomes the first word of line 4. This is followed for each stanza. The rhyme
scheme is abcb.

Variations:

1. Stanzas, writers choice on the number, no rhyming, the last word, first word scheme is maintained.

2. One long stanza, no limit on number of lines, no rhyming scheme, the last word, first word scheme is maintained.

3. Couplets mixed with 4 line stanzas, the last word, first word scheme is maintained in the stanzas. It can also be used in the couplets. Rhyme scheme is ab, cc, defg, hh, ii, jklm, nn, oo.

:) I love your cool poems! I can't do them so I light up like a christmas tree when I read yours. You're like the master of different poetry styles. I'm so jealous. This was a short one but the emotions displayed were huge! I got such a warm and fuzzy feeling from this. I was cold so I had to read it a few times to stay warm lol. This poem really shows people how gifted you are as a poet. Lovely work dear. Glad you asked me to read this one. Nik

To love someone and have that peson return that love is the most exhilerating feeling there is.
That's what my take is on this beautiful piece.
We all need to experience this warmth and loving feeling.
Good job on this piece Sylvia.
    An enjoyable read.

Sylvia this is absolutely fantastic. No matter what styles of poems you wrote, it's just amazing. I think it's the first time i've seen this style of poem. I like it very much and your words scream love. Very well done, kel.
