Heartless

You can't hear my piercing screams
or the sound of a breaking heart
Even though I show no pain,
I'm slowly ripping apart

I show my smile to all who pass
I even say hello
No one knows what's hidden behind
that so called 'handsome fellow'

For you caused me pain,
unintentional, I might add
But it gives you no right to treat me like this,
to continue making me sad

You could at least say you're sorry,
but you don't even try
Instead you toy with my heart.
Guess you like making me cry

But you do know that I love you
And you take advantage of me
No matter how much pain you give
I can not set you free

So I know what I must do;
pretend I have no pain
If I show you my one true weakness,
I'll have nothing left to gain

Even though you can't hear my yells
or see the aching crack
Doesn't mean you haven't abused me
cause deep inside, you're the only one I lack..
