Fun Fare

by BreathesToBleed   Nov 17, 2009

Laughs so cruel
smile of pain
eyes of blades
frightened a fright you can not explain

the wheel that spins
huge and fun
the carriages rock
the bolts undone

the tunnels and tracks
the sound of fake screams
the metal all screeches
fake yet real, blood on the beams

candy and ice-cream
sugar galore
children excited
the devil next door

red hair like wire
shoes are so big
that smile he smiles
the grave yards he dig

a nose like his nose
i remember him all
the blood and the pain
thoughts about him i cannot ignore

Nicely written, I love how you used the fun-fare as a theme to describe this evil person whom disguise as a clown. Though he enthralls children with his bright colored costume and sugary treats, unknowingly he also holds a hidden agenda to exploit the innocents. Overall I like how you penned this poem.
