I'll Love You Forever

by Farther From Here   Nov 18, 2009

The clocks tick endlessly as I look into your eyes
A word of silence, an insightful gaze is all I want and see
My love for you has never ceased since the date in time
I love you for all you are and all you've done.

I wish and hope that time will come and go
Wherein the lights will stop shinning and concentrate on you
To assure your beautiful sight amidst me
To know your love, your life, and your person.

Tell me now before I go and leave
I want to see you forevermore but time wills it not
I want to live beside you and walk your path
But barriers never fail to stop this silent devotion and hope.

I love you please tell me that you do too
And I will forget about it all and think less of you
I'll stop being a nuisance that never fails to pique you
I'll vanish without a sight and leave you alone forever.

I know that we've grown separately and that time has ended us
I know that you've found a maiden of which holds your heart
I know that you've vowed to marry her and protect her heart
I know that you've forgotten me during those years we've spent apart.

But please do tell me those three simple words I long to hear
I've promised you that whatever it takes I'll stay true to you
So here I am, my heart open and shattered as you slowly walk away
Leaving this silence that tears me to this day.
