Weight

by Kuro   Dec 4, 2009

Not every man can be something great
Some are born with a tremendous weight
That keeps their dreams firmly on the ground
So I hide myself and hope to never be found

What do I do when I take
Selling my soul for something fake
Just to fit in to the highest degree
Destroying the better part of me

When dreams fall your pride comes with it
Disappointed faces make you feel like shit
If only i could break this trance
Try my best for a second chance

I could try to recover what I have lost
Do what it takes, no matter the cost
Find a purpose for my vain malcontent
So that others may profit from my self-torment

    Ben,

This piece had a really strong message, but it would be an even stronger poem if you were to make it a non- rhyming one. this may seem scary to you, but in fact it gives you much more space to say what you want to say.

    ^^

To some degree we all sell our soul to the devil, just to survive..doesn't make it right..but it's a tough world.

    God bless,

    5/5 Ingrid

    ps: Happy Xmas time:)
