At World's End

by Shinobi   Dec 5, 2009

Preaches of fire descend
Under a moonless cloudless night
There I found my perfect end
To demolish my suffering, to make things right

Over mountains of sulfurous lands
Under oceans of grief and ache
By a fire, where no one stands
With a smile, so weak and fake

As I thrive to end this world
To pass painful heritage to the sore
In a land, deserted and cold
No guiding light to lead ashore

Once I was a celestial being
Back then I used to be whole
Now, every grace is fleeing
Life, once again, ended it's role

Thus under searing skies of flame
I am awakened, dreaded and afraid
With days full of disgrace and shame
Full of suffering, I have made

Overall i thought this was a very amazing and magnificent write. It flowed very well throuhout and never caught my mind wandering away, i was totally sucked in. ALso the rhyming was great and never seemed forced.

But there was a line that i didnt really like.

    Under a moonless cloudless night

^^^ THis line just sounds wrong, the usage of the same suffix two lines in a row becomes a little overbearing and throws the poem off for a moment. Still a great write and a well deserved 5/5
