Mom, You and Me

by Kayla   Dec 10, 2009

My love, my faith, my hopes and dreams
Is all that you have taken from me
You drink, you scream, you yell and you cry
The life you've given me, makes me want to die
My emotions are written on these pages,
And are the permanance of pain on my arms
These feelings you make me experience, let me "savor" the harm
My life is scarred and harshly engraved in my memory
All it takes, is for you to say you are truly sorry
Because of this anger and hate you felt for me
I feel I will never be really happy
You couldn't believe me about things that were so sad
So all I do is write poems about those things that were so bad
You were the one who made the choice and drink that last sip
You were the one who changed my life,
And made these tears roll down from my eyes to my lip
I will never forget the neglect I faced there
I will never forget the lies you fed me
I will never forget you never told me you cared
But I will always remember,
You were never there.
