My Story

by WonderingSpiritDiaries   Dec 17, 2009

I close the book
In which a story lies
Its about a girl
That was living in a broken world
in the same routine everyday
Having friends lie that everything is gonna be OK
SHe drags her life as if she were dead
Knowing that at night she will cry on her bed
As she gets home from school
She goes into her room
Because since he left her
She just can't get better
And as time passes by
She wants to die.
And now this girl is sitting reading the story of her life.

I love this poem. It has this dark, macabre ring to it which I just cannot get enough of, really, fantastic job on this one. It played out to me and it seriously sent chills down my spine, which is rare. Great imagery, wonderful language and again, great ending.

I'm really hooked on your poetry now thanks to this poem. I'll definitly keep reading now.
