Ignore Me

Why do you say you're proud of me and then decide to bring me down?
Why do you say I can make my own decisions when you just push me around?
Why do you say you love me when all you make me do is cry?
I don't understand you guys and I don't think I'll ever know why.

Please don't say you'll be there for me if you'll just push me away,
Please don't say you'll love me always, when tomorrow it won't be the same,
Please don't try and comfort me after you so cruelly broke my heart,
I don't think you all realize how much you're tearing me apart!!

Don't tell me that tonight I'll have good dreams if all I do is pray,
Don't tell me today was fine and that tomorrow's "Just another day,"
Don't hide your mistakes by trying to cover it up with love,
After all is said and done I know I will rise above,

You're supposed to be my family, my heart, my all,
You're the ones I should depend on if ever I would fall,
Please, Be careful what you do or you'll push me too far down,
One day I might go over the edge, but ignore my screaming sound.
