What Could Be In Summer

by Poet on the Piano   Dec 30, 2009

Promising sunlight streams joyfully in
bathing my skin in rich compassion
I sit here bored with prosaic words
wishing to break free towards the aurora.

Tommy the gray cat yawns miserably
he is tired of always living in laziness
yellow roses dance upon tender valleys
how I desire to sleep on their petals.

Blooming cherry trees stretch out
inviting me to climb on their branches
I smile and make a new acquaintance
saying hello to radiant delight.

Blue jays and red robins sing a duet
tapping anxiously outside my window
I dwell endlessly in serene reveries
where marigolds paint perfect beauty.

Remove 'in' after joyfully in the first line, I think you can do without it.

This was such a soothing write... full of nature & beautiful images.
