There on that bathroom floor

He's dropping her off at home again

Thinking she'll be okay

they had been in another fight, it was

Just another painful day

He thought nothing of it,

but to her it's so much more

She's giving up on life itself

there on that bathroom floor

She can hear her mother scream

her dad had too many beers

She puts a blade in her hand

and wipes away her tears

She cuts to feel control,

she cuts to ease the pain

she cuts to relieve her stress

she cuts to keep her saine

She thinks that no one cares

no one could possibly understand

she tries to avoid the vein

but can't steady her shaking hand

the blade fell from her hand

the blood begins to drain

all she ever wanted

was to simply ease the pain

Now her body lay limp and weak

it takes her breath away

the room is getting darker

she wont see another day

*****

Standing by her grave

He just couldn't let her go

He cared more than anyone

But never told her so

so she thought nothing of it

and to him it's so much more

he's giving up on letting go

there on that bathroom floor....
