Spell of the Raven.

by Courageous Dreamer   Jan 20, 2010

Splattered stars lace
their pointed branches,
forming galaxies of light
amidst interstellar space.

- midnight strikes -

irate echoes of a raven
choke existence of charming
constellations as they cling
to vivacious atmospheres,
strangling oxygen.

the canvas of studded stars
now tarnished in death;
a plaster of ebony skies.

- written for a challenge using the words: branches, interstellar, irate, raven, choke, charming, vivacious, oxygen, tarnished, plaster.

    *This was my favorite part. This poem was brillant and very well written. I love the way you made the words fit naturally. They didn't seemed forced and they weren't just thrown in anywhere. Each word had a place and a meaning to add to the overall poem which is what I was looking for. I love the creativity and the darkness this piece carries. Very well done hun. :) Nik*
