Conquering The Storms

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 26, 2010

I meet proud sanguine smiles
growling murky waters
that eclipse former regret
with stubborn waves of anger.

-A worthy sabotage never seems to fail-

I begin to trust vexed tears
swimming in a tinted chasm
whom am I wholly befriending?
perhaps a reflection of myself.

-The dusk-run hand shall strike soon-

I fall hard through oblivion
directly inside the serpent's mouth
he swallows me steadily
feeding on needed fallacies.

-The burning lady won't walk away-

Sinful satisfaction cannot reign
for the Master of the Dead Sea
will spit me back onto dry land
my soul speaking with dexterity.

-I shall run on through the raging eye-

    MaryAnne,

You have me flabbergasted..I am speechless, really...

How come you write so well at such a young age? I read poems by other people that are approxiamately your age and a lot of them are about blue eyes and ditto skies, lol. You have such an eloquent way of expressing yourself, and this poem, inspired by a painting, is so unique and creative, hats off for you, sweetheart!

This was stunning, because of the maturaty it shows in your way of thinking.

    Rock on, lil missy!

    God bless,
