Doesn't Matter

by She Is My Rain   Jan 27, 2010

I swear it doesnt matter anymore.
You were always the armored marble.
The insightful mentor.
Your words were liquid gold.
Your actions, flawless.
I was the lost puppy,
The forgotten lamb.
You were my shelter.
The light to guide me home.
I needed you like the moon
Needed the sun.
I wanted you,
Craved you,
Like a lion for his prey.
The moon still
Needs the sun.
The lion is still hungry.
But it still doesnt matter anymore.
You smiled tonight.
I melted inside.
I loved you more then I did
Five years ago.
Our past is gone,
Ripped out of the book.
All there is is now.
All there will be is now.
I promise that
What happened then
Doesnt matter anymore.
