I Hope They Were Worth It

by Stephanie Michelle   Feb 6, 2010

She breaks a little more each time you call her name,
You know that it's wrong but keep playing the game.
Hush now, be quiet. Wouldn't want her to wake.
Darling? Your porcelain love is at stake.

Peering around, finding comfort in the night.
The shadows cover your sin making it feel alright.
The softness of her body and caress on your skin,
light kisses down your spine make you feel that you win.

Temptation, desire and lust on your mind.
Biting your lip, you keep checking the time.
Just don't be caught and you won't feel the pain
Of losing your love to a girl with no name.

Soft supple movements, they're driving you wild.
The girl of tonight makes you feel like a child.
Why can't our love just ever compare
To the love from the girls who are going nowhere?

The thrill of the sin makes it all worth the while.
As she pulls away slowly, you flash her a smile.
The girl of tonight steals away through the dark,
she's leaving you lonely as your sin leaves its mark.

Temptation, desire and lust made you give.
What kind of life are you wanting to live?
Stealing away in the depth's of the night,
She knows you've done wrong but it just feels so right.

Temptation, desire and lust made you lie,
Now your own girl is saying goodbye.
Your love of tonight just proved you untrue.
Where will you go when there's nowhere for you?
