I Love You More

by Poet on the Piano   Feb 8, 2010

Indescribable are my ardent feelings for you dearest child.

Light will forever stand upon your sweet face
On the blackest of nights your heart will shine
Voices echo and confuse yet you listen to mine
Even when you run away I think of you fondly.

You are more precious than the stars I created
Our bond cannot be broken by sinful temptation
Understanding will I remain of your wildest dreams.

My cup overflows with the greatest gift
Only I can give you a lasting embrace
Right beside you do I always stay close
Every step of the way I just love you more.

Based on the truthful song of Matthew West, I love You More. God does love us more than any star in the sky and his arms and forgiving heart are always open. Give God a try, he will protect you and show you the meaning of life.

Even if you don't enjoy the religious view I think this piece easily relates to the parent/child realtionship, so people can relate to this on many different levels, nice work.
