My Thoughts and I

by Poet on the Piano   Feb 16, 2010

Solitude engraves
.....her judged name

a wispy feathered moan

into mountain's body
.....where it watches

waiting for a taker
.....to intoxicate

with cordial contemplation.

If only slight
.....stirrings of mind

lazy yet determined muse

could barrel forth
.....sharp tongued

like a thief's volcano
.....rushing ahead

ready to boil vigorously.

I converse with destiny
.....memories regenerated

dreamless days do no good

For now I will live
.....in the promise land

thinking of love
.....and when it shall call

wading in pensive rivers.
