Stimulating senses

by kelleyana   Mar 11, 2010

In my field of paper flowers and candy clouds of lullaby
I dream on pillows of wonder in a bed of parchment roses.
Translucent hearts spin and swirl lazily above my head, in rhythm to passions song

The goddess of imaginary light illuminates hunger
dipped in raspberry devotion sprinkled with affinity.
Under a construction paper moon, silk jasmine bloom,
stimulating the sweet scent of surrender

Revealing natures' hidden treasure; a warm feeling of
contentment, infused with pleasure. A burning candle inducing ones' senses to flames, heated only enough to ignite passion.Tantalize all sights with soft, flickering hues.

Strong clear light burning steadily; sending out power and energy.Gazing in the heart of the flame, healthy and bright red core, surrounding by a blue and yellow halo. Dripping wax melted forming shape of an heart, Screaming, love is about to bloom.

If ever there is anything that I love, its vivid imagery that connects you to the reality of the emotion in the words

This poem alone provokes me to add you to my list, this is how I would love to write

*If you've never heard this song you really need too. That is my favorite line and I knew you two would do wonders with it. I love that it was first because it really adds to the following lines. Wonderful*

dipped in raspberry devotion sprinkled with affinity.

*Loved it...loved..this is my third time reading this poem and I still love this line. Such a clever one and the imagry just knocks me out. Wow :) *

Tantalize all sights with soft, flickering hues.

*Another favorite line. This poem had so many great ideas. One thing that threw me off a little was the way it was written. I didn't like the way the syntaz was..it was just weird to me and too long in places. But that could just be me lol. Anywho I was very proud of you two, you defeated my contest and made such a lovely piece. Nice work ladies :) Nik*
