I'm no poet

by Meagan Adelle   Mar 22, 2010

I'm no poet, I can't write a dream.
To you, a lullaby, I could not sing.
I'm no Moses, a sea I could not part.
I haven't much to give you, but I'll give you my heart.

I am nothing great, as I never claimed to be.
I am no love poem, no fish in your sea.
You however, well, beauty is the epitome of you.
Because of all your colors, and that heavenly hue.

And I knew it, right from the start.
That you are the only one with the key to my heart.
And as I finally let my heart shine through.
Grab a bucket, I'm pouring my heart out to you.

You're the reason a bird sings.
More beautiful than any flower in spring.
The only thing prettier than sunlight in your hair
Is you with no make-up, you without a care.

And there's so much more I could say.
It's true.
But I'm afraid I'm all choked up.
And I've lost my cool.

Just a little problem for you.
Here I'll put it simply.
Basically, i<3u
