Coldness

by Nicole   Apr 6, 2010

As the shadow of truth lingers on the horizon,
it mocks me, laughing at my pain; taking a knife
to my throat.
I stand there waiting for it to finally take my life,
to wash away the pain your betrayal has left me.
Tears streak down my already soaked face as I scream; "DO IT, KILL ME!" to the rising sun.
A new day is starting, another day in the life of misery and loneliness that will never change.
Shivers run down my spine as the memory of your touch tingles on my face, the thought of a kiss that's forever gone.
The cold numbs my body as I give in to the pain.
Waves crashing against my skin feels comforting.
Goodbye. I love you.
