Weeping

My mind once laid numb
because my old flame you left
my finger they ached
from wiping the tears i wept

i thought you were the poetry
the words that completed my heart
i thought you were the other half of my puzzle
but i realize your were just a tiny part

my muse is so close to death
I have ignored her for you
my heart is trying to fix itself
after all you have put me through

poetry once my most cherished art
is become so hard now to compose
the words they lay trampled on by you
why did you crush our simplistic rose.

my mind lays numb after what you've done
and i will never comprehend why you left
but i will not let these hands ache anymore
I'm gonna dry up these tears i have wept
