Holding Back

by Kallie   Apr 9, 2010

The sun spills across the floor
The shadows twist around my feet
I think of nothing except
The day we happened to meet
And its there so vivid
Torturing just my mind
When you were so damn funny
Your words simply too kind
And I try to move forward
To walk away from this
but I sit across from him
and your the one i miss
i feel deep sorrow
For he is truly trying
but i'm trapped in some darkness
Where all there is is crying
Can you save me hun
I know that you aren't my knight
but he couldn't fix things
and I feel you can make it right
Perhaps that's just my mind
waiting for my fairy tale
even though you aren't it
What happened we can't tell
and you won't tell me what I did
Won't tell me what was my fault
It couldn't have just been you
But your excuses won't seem to halt
and sure perhaps they are true
but you never know until you try
or you can walk alone
Sit back and wonder why
I sit here full of questions
Wondering why you came to me
Was there some purpose to this
Something I just can not see
Lead me to the depths of hell
Teach me everything you know
Make me hurt and make me bleed
Take me hard and make me low
I can't be broken if I refuse
To let you fully have me
Perhaps its the holding back
That lacks the ability to see
