Abandoned Love

by Nomad Being   May 9, 2010

She took my name for the last time
But her feelings as they were for the first
She must abandon my love for her happiness
Words scattered when her voice whispered

A hand to never let go, gentle and passionate
She buried her sorrow and loneliness untied
Of course you shall but abandon my love
My soul shattered and melted thorough inside

Angels in despair and heaven still unprepared
In a shallow abyss suppressed I failed to breathe
Tenderest of her sensuous touch but crippled lips
We can't live without each other though it was real!

We began to depart in a shadow gloomy and streak
Convinced not to look back hearts filled with belief
Those eyes pleading her happiness and that was me
Had tears in her eyes too, there were throbbing seeds!

The choice of words shows a great imagery, especially with "She buried her sorrow and loneliness untied" and "In a shallow abyss suppressed I failed to breathe."

    Just a magnificent poem.
