When we first met in High School,
we were cool
like ice in a freezer.

When we first met, I admired you.
You always had
what I only dreamed.

We were two sides of the same coin,
comedy and tragedy.
Had our fights,
but stood tight.

At the end of the day,
I was glad
to always have you there.

Went through so much
in so little time
had each other's backs
through our won hardships.

    I would categorize this more of a song. But I when I used to write songs before I wrote poetry. Everything is nice, happy go lucky in this.

    Very very heartfelt stuff, you paint a picture with such simplicity. I can only be envious of. Great work though.

    Beautifully written. If you're trying to make this a song, I dunno if it would work as well as it does just as a poem. I hope the person your trying to give this message to you hears this. This is very good, I loved it from the picture, word choice, flow of the poem. I have an older brother myself and he was always there for me, although we fight, he's still there for me, but I dunno if I'd write something like this for him haha but anyways I can relate to this poem very much. Easily 5/5 for me.
