Tears

Trying for days to hold back tears
Feeling of loneliness reappears

Dreams last only so long
Trying to be strong

Tears have overcome me
Creating insanity

Waiting for happiness
Take away this sadness

Feelings inside me
Come back to haunt me

Remove my heart
It's been torn apart

Underestimating what is inside
Heart and mind no longer allied

Mind is sound
Heart is unbound

A struggle inside
Which will reside?

A decision was made
Using mind as an aide

Struggle is done
Mind has won
