The Devil's Advocate

by Rusheena   Jun 11, 2010

No other terror in the world could compare

Even when we're all gone, it still will be there

The most clever of assassins; it never leaves a mark

And the only pain that's felt is alone in the dark

"Give in to your mind and all its urges."

It's the only hysteria the world encourages

He's waiting as he watches, with biggest grin

He knows he'll see us soon for indulging in sin

Purity is dead, along with moral decrees,

We celebrate this deception, as we revel in disease

Time is running out, but only a few seem to notice,

while trust in one's self has become the new practice

Take off the blindfold and stop the spread

Ignore that feeling 'cause you're already dead

Empty sensations will only last for a time

But The One who watches us will never forget our crime
