Temptation Equals Death

by Rusheena   Jun 11, 2010

Shame and guilt are only the beginning

The turning away is how you know he's winning

Once the head silences the heart, then the trouble starts

Then, it consumes the will, as it targets it like darts

Now, the flesh is corrupted, and the cravings plague the eyes

They should have been plucked, but they're great for a disguise

Emptiness isn't half of it; that's only the title sequence

It's a mere flash-forward before destroying the evidence

If Help isn't called, then there's no need for suffering

Church has already begun, but there isn't any offering

Death isn't next in line, but it was chosen

To ignore The Voice of Truth is to already be stolen

The thief is working diligently and ferociously with a goal

"Never let them go until they've played the roll"
